Hello all!
Here is the latest information on the project loon:
Weight gain since last visit (1 month ago ... ahhh): 7lbs
Total weight gain: 8lbs
Baby's heart rate: 154 bpm
We had our 16 week appointment today and all is going well. I gained a lot of weight this last month but the Dr says that is normal for this time frame and that I should probably expect the same to happen over the next 4 weeks (after which it should slow down .. thankfully!). Urinary frequency continues to be a burden -- now even more than every 2 hours at night not to mention trying to learn to sleep on my side and NOT on my back. Tricky stuff here! We will post a picture soon of my ever continually growing belly... in fact the other day my girls exclaimed in amazement that ' oh my God you are showing!!" . Yeah -- I hope so after being over 4 months along!!
We will keep you updated! Love ya!

Closet Chaos!!!
My closet is anemic.....
As my weight increases and belly protrudes I begin to find that my clothing choices are limited at best. My regular wardrobe of 25 pairs of pants has been slashed to 4. On the up-side maternity pants are a cinch to get on and off during my hourly bathroom breaks -- no buttons -- no problem! It is like constantly wearing eating pants. The drawback -- a major one-- is that maternity style is somewhat unstylish. The majority are jean or black pants and a lot of tops are black -- thus I end up looking like a fatter version of Johnny Cash -- "maybe I am".
Also -- although for a good reason, it is a bit disconcerting to find that the body you have dressed in the same size for 12 years all of a sudden is unrecognizable and unflattering. Not that I am worried about gaining weight -- It is just that right now it looks like fat NOT pregnancy. I will be so excited to 'look pregnant' enough that my eating habits are not seen by outsiders as something noted in the documentary 'super size me'!!
The next pre-natal appointment is 12/9 -- so official weight will be recorded then. Although if you have seen me from behind lately it is clear that my higher progesterone levels are helping me add bountifully to my maternal fat stores mostly located on my butt!
Huzzah for pregnancy!! :)

Here is a link to a video of the baby's heartbeat! No worries--- it is G-Rated. Keep tuned for our next update after we see the Dr. again on 12/9.
